To encourage international cooperation and develop knowledge, tolerance and respect to other cultures.
To motivate our students to learn foreign languages and improve the communication in English by means of
using ICT and media publishing.
To integrate project activities into curriculum using innovative and creative techniques.
To involve the school community and families as much as possible and deepen cooperation with local
municipalities (museums, libraries, art galleries, tourism information centres, etc.)
To promote local active citizenship.
To improve our students' skills through Content and Language Integrated Learning.
Our schools sometimes seem not to have the proper communication channels with local institutions or European
ones.
Thus, we want this project to enhance the necessary communication channels and open them up to
international institutions.
We also intend the project to lead to an increased use of ICT in schools, intercultural awareness, and the
development of synergies with local bodies and institutions. The contact with pupils from the partner schools
will increase the intercultural awareness of pupils and their families in areas normally cut-off from cultural
contacts with other countries. The teachers, too, will receive a stimulus to improve daily routine, their approach
in the classroom and this partnership will also raise their interest in further cooperation with schools from other
European countries. In short, the project will open up a new intercultural dimension for pupils, their parents and
teachers enhancing their active citizenship.
